Alberta Based Roots Songsmith Dave McCann is best known for his critically acclaimed recordings including his bench mark release “Dixiebluebird” built in East Nashville with Americana guitar icon and producer Will Kimbrough (Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Shemekia Copeland, Todd Snider). His newest effort “Soothsayer's Blues” is no exception. The Project was produced by Jimbo Mathus (Buddy Guy, Elvis Costello) at the Historic Zebra Ranch - The home studio of session Legend and Producer Jim Dickinson (The Stones, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Ry Cooder, John Hiatt) It explores the folklore of the Blues and the American South.
